October Update

Every time I start my posts I apologise for not writing, so I'm not going to do that anymore and just get used to the fact that I am a bad blogger. 

Wanted to share a quick update on whats been going on recently. I have gotten right into uni life now; our first term is based on the fashion market place which is basically a general overview of what to expect in the coming 3 years. I have been so surprised at how often I've visited London since I've been living here in Epsom, and even got the chance to go to London Fashion Week! Another cool event I went to was the Marie Claire 25th Birthday Beauty event at House of Fraser (which I will do a post on soon!). It was a great night with some of my new uni pals; we got goody bags full of some amazing products and spent the night having a few drinks, listening to the DJ and continuously going in-and-out of the photo-booth. 

Other than that, its pretty much been working and getting to know so many new people. I'm not struggling (yet), however cooking is becoming an issue as I am running out of ideas - any suggestions welcome!

No - I am not jealous at all.

A/W Must Haves

I'm a bad blogger, I know. I only like to do so when I feel inspired and after doing not a lot all summer it hasn't felt right. But since I have began preparation for university I have started to get back into the swing of things. After having no money for the best part of two months I finally got my wages from my mini summer job, most of which went towards a good spree; so once again I have no money (well I won't after I splash out on a MAC!). I have been trying to buy for the colder months and think I have done pretty well (so far), apart from the obsession I found myself having with cami's; but the items above are the kind of style I'm going for: simple pieces, lots of leather and a touch of class in the form of pointed heels and cat-eye sunglasses. I have a mad obsession with dalmatian print at the moment, so any accessories I can find I want. 

Hopefully after another good save (and once I get my loan through) I will get the chance to go on another splurge and actually buy the things I have planned to get rather than spontaneous items. God help me. . .

Current Style

I had some free time so decided to put together a few looks which are great for all year round! My personal style had turned much more minimal recently, sticking to a neutral palette with the occasional pop of colour and print. 

Holiday!

 

I have recently come back from my holiday and wanted to share some of the stunning photos I took from it! I was lucky enough to go on a cruise around the Fjords (Norway), and I must admit, at first I was a little skeptical. I am much more of a 'hot' holiday go-er, so understandably I was a little worried. But in terms of the views, I have never seen anything like them - the photos don't do them justice. 

Style Crush

I came across Camille Charriere (camtyox) style through Instagram and have been obsessing over it ever since. I don't know whether its the basic colour palette or relaxed shapes that drew me in, but either way I have been well and truly inspired. I'm now on a massive hunt to find some key pieces such as luxe cami's and over-sized coats, along with (yes, I am still looking for) a pair of good fitting leather trousers.

MANGO Sale

Yay all the summer sales have begun! I've already had a little spree in Zara and can't stop looking at all the online sales too, one of which being Mango. I can always find something I like as the brand has a very chic style; but the thing I love the most is the fact that they style each product on the website so even if you have no idea what to wear something with, an idea is there!

Nails

 

I am a bad blogger, I know! This past month has been super hectic but I have nearly finished my art foundation course so when I have I will do a massive update, showing some of my work and new buys! But for now I just wanted to share my recent love for this nail polish! I bought it in a pack of 3 from E.L.F. and although its a little thin, the colour is amazing for summer - a mix between a peach and a nude. 

I also finally found some thin rings, which I have been looking for for months!

Interiors Project

Just thought I'd share a quick snap of a chair I've renovated for my current project. The main focus was Brighton, which we then had to pick an area to home in on to produce a chair, a piece of wall art and lighting to fill a 'space'. Once the final photo shoot has been taken I might upload a few more images later on!

'This Chick's Got Style's' Style

From one of my favourite blogs, This chick's got style, Yara Michels posts things from outfit posts to interior ideas, and is often on the fashion scene at shows and parties. One of the main things I love is what she wears: always easily styled but every outfit just has that edge that I can't seem to gain myself. I find that we have very similar taste, so will be taking  lots more inspiration from Yara in the future!

Mango: The Tourist

 

I just had to post these photos from the new Mango shoot 1) because I love the clothes, and 2) I think the images themselves have been photographed beautifully. You get a real Spanish vibe from them, which is appropriate seeing as that is where the brand was founded. I love the soft tailoring of the jackets and trousers, and the prints which adds a summery feel. Some more items to add to my 'want' list.

FMP PROJECT: 'Worn Away'

For our Final Major Project (FMP) we got to write our own briefs, and for this I decided to focus mine on industrial materials and the effects that time has on there appearance. I will mainly be looking at metals and worn buildings and creating my own imagery from this, to later produce a small collection. Here are just some initial images that I am inspired by, before going out to take some of my own. Enjoy!
